Mulligun 400 – July 30, 2017

A beautiful day for shooting!

The weather wasn’t too bad actually. It was warm, but there was the occasional breeze that kept the edge off. Thanks Mother Nature! Apparently the targets were spicy because the scores were lower than usual in the main event. The Super Sporting Event, on the other hand, we had one shooter reach 98%. Check out below to see who won in each class/event.  Be sure to visit ScoringPro to see if you won some money.

Here come the Champs…

Kevin Newlen wins HOA!

Probably the toughest course we’ve set all year (which wasn’t intentional), Kevin Newlen knocks out 87×100 to win the HOA spot. Oh, I forgot to mention that Kevin is in AA class and he’s been on a roll lately. Shooting lights-out last month at Moore N’ Moore as well as great shooting at other local clubs, Kevin is making a comeback and making a statement. Keep up the great shooting, Kevin and we’ll see you at the next one.

“Super” is right!

Super Vet, A-Class shooter Curt Lewis smoked 49×50 on the Super Sporting course. Great shooting Curt! I can’t think of anyone who puts in the practice like he does. Hard work obviously pays off.

Fabrizio Buschini and young Carl Pongs in B-Class weren’t far behind with 48×50. Great mental-game to all 3 of you.

Thanks for coming!

Another great Mulligun is behind us and the end-of-the-year raffle gets bigger by $690! It’s going to be a good one. Hopefully, this horrible heat subsides and allows the turnouts to increase.

We hope you had a great time and we know you had a great lunch. Thanks to Pat and Janet Moore for putting on another great spread for lunch. Always a premier presentation at every shoot.

NEXT EVENT: The Night Shoot

Coming next Friday, August 4th, we have our monthly night shoot. PLEASE CALL 818 890 4788  TO RSVP FOR DINNER. We’re the only night-lighted Sporting Clays course and it’s a great experience if you’ve never done it. In fact, it’s a great place to bring a date because there’s mood lighting everywhere.

The event is only $35 and includes dinner, 70 targets, a chance to win money and ammunition. Dinner is served between 7 and 8:30 PM.  Shooting can start as early as 6 PM. Shooting must stop by 10 PM. If you’d like the full shoot program, just click here. We hope to see you Friday night.
